Midsouth LanDesign Group was started in 2009 by Wes Shive. Prior to starting his own company, Wes worked in the landscape industry for over ten years. While pursuing his bachelor degree in landscape architecture at Mississippi State University, Wes worked in the campus landscape design office under the campus landscape architect, Samuel Hogue, ASLA.

Upon graduation from MS State, he took a position in landscape design and sales for a company in DeSoto County, MS and later for a company in Collierville, TN. While working full-time, he was able to earn a master’s degree in business administration from Delta State University. After becoming licensed, it was time to start his own company.
